Educational Foundation

In 1958 the AAUW Educational Foundation was established to administer fellowship and grant programs to advance opportunities for women in the United States and worldwide. EF is one of the largest funding sources for graduate women. In the 50th anniversary year of 2008, $4.5 million in funding was awarded for more than 250 fellowships, grants and special awards. Phoenix Branch contributes to the fund through individual donations including the Century Club donors who give $100 or more annually.

Legal Advocacy Fund

The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund partners with other civil and women’s rights organizations to support strategic litigation that affects women in all workplaces. LAF educates about barriers faced by women and the legal rights, policies and strategies that can help to eradicate gender-based discrimination in higher education and the workplace. Phoenix Branch contributes to the fund through individual donations.
